Visas for Non-EU Nationals

Visas fall under a few main categories:
- High-value Migrants - (Tier 1)
- Skilled Workers - (Tier 2) - the border agency operates a points-based system, which includes requirements for certificate of sponsorship (ie, employer), English language abilities, maintenance funds, etc)
- Temporary Worker
- Domestic Worker / Other (Overseas worker, film crew on location, etc)
- Student Visas
- Visiting the UK (Tourism, Family Visit, Business Visit, etc)
UK Ancestry Visas
If one of your grandparents has/had UK citizenship and you are part of the Commonwealth (Australia, Canada, South Africa, etc), you may apply for an ancestry Visa that would give you the right to work in the UK.
